The successful audits are the result of comprehensive internal reviews and continuous improvement processes. They demonstrate that Graepel meets the strict international standards for quality management systems in its industry. These systems encompass clearly defined processes, ongoing improvements, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
“Obtaining these certifications is an important milestone for our company,” says Carlo Graepel, who serves on the Executive Board of Friedrich Graepel AG alongside his brother Felix Graepel. “It strengthens our reputation among our customers and motivates us to further improve our processes in order to offer first-class products with the highest quality and reliability.”
Graepel holds numerous certifications, which vary across its different branches depending on the product range. The ISO and IATF certificates hold a special place among these and are among the most important proofs for customers and partners that they can rely on Graepel for quality in both production and operational processes. The company in Löningen was first certified as an automotive supplier back in 2012. Graepel has held ISO 9001 certification for far longer.
IATF stands for “International Automotive Task Force,” and this certification for the Löningen site in particular is highly valued by Graepel’s OEM partner companies. This establishes Graepel as a reliable supplier to the automotive industry that meets the quality standards of manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers worldwide. “We are particularly proud of this,” emphasizes Carlo Graepel. “We see ourselves as a system supplier and constantly strive to serve our customers in the best possible way and support them throughout the entire process chain. Customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal of all our quality initiatives.”
The ISO standard defines globally recognized standards for quality management systems. It sets requirements for companies to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction. The IATF 16949 standard is an international standard for quality management systems in the automotive industry. It is based on ISO 9001 and includes additional, complex requirements for the development, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, testing, storage, packaging, delivery, and distribution of products. The standard also sets requirements for customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
